First of all, congratulations on the brilliant idea to develop a tool like Xtirer. Honestly, I was aching for this kind of script and I was thrilled when I came across your blog in an OL forum thread. Also, it’s great you decided to release it under GPL! Much appreciated indeed!!!

Now, can I take this opportunity to ask you a few general questions, please?

1. What does the future hold for this project? Do you have a kind of a
roadmap?

2. I had a brief look at the documentation but I couldn’t quite work
out if version 0.2 supports nested selects. Can you have a SELECT in a WHERE clause?

I think it would be useful if you published an SQL compliance table. You could have one column for the current version and another one for the next/future version/s.

3. Do you use an abstraction library, such as ADOdb, that makes it
possible to connect your layer to various DBMS?

4. Do you need some development/testing help? Our resources are
stretched to the limit but we might be able to give you a hand. It’s a worthy cause for sure!

5. In sourceforge I can find only 0.2beta, dated July 3, but I gather
on July 15 you released version 0.2. Is there any chance we could get the latest version?
