need a helping hand?

This idea may be something for at least all european countries and US + Canada.
This concept derives from a specific situation i experienced some weeks ago:

I’d to do some excel-calculations for my econometric estimates and had a tough deadline
the next morging. The calculations where pretty easy but time-intensive and time was ticking by.
And my biggest wish was to send my excel-files somebody who can do these calculations over night.

Yeah, and that’s why i thought of an agency i can call, describe the tasks to a manager, send the files,
and the next morging i get my results on time.

Now this is a quite brief description, but if you advance the idea then you could predict the possibilities included.
The company should be set up like an temporary employment company in a country with almost 12 hour time shift to the country for which you want to work. Some professional agents are resident in the country where you canvass for customers.

The agents are to collect the tasks to execute for the next day, discuss details of the jobs with the clients, validate the feasability and finally estimate the number and profession of worker needed. Then they receive the data from the client and hand them on to the staff in the other country. Let’s take the example of India.
In India – when it is late in the evening here, it is early morning there – the workforce receives its tasks to do, and if needed, additional staff can be recruited from a pool of professionals registered with the temporary employment company.

The target group and the target market are a bit delicate, but when examined more closely should not be too much of concern.
I think freelancers and executives from bigger companies with decision rights for at least smaller budgets and expenses should be targeted. The costs for one task should not exceed the costs of one professional for one day in the home country. So in europe it should not exceed the 300-500 € per man-day margin.
So the tasks executable are not allowed to be to complicate, which is also in consequence of the limited time and depiction possibilities of the sales channels the agents will use. I can’t image a developer to explain the next development stage of an app to the agent in adequate form and clarity over phone or email in, let’s say half an hour, so that the developer is fully satisfied the next morging. So i more think of sophisticated repetitive tasks, like the excel-cals from above, making charts for a presentation, adding images to websites, translating small language parts into multiple other languages, generating pdfs, etc.

So, to start all this, it is essential to find both a professional company in europe/us and india or vietnam or somewhere else and to start talking. Maybe you have a good friend from those countries, so just go for it.

Hope, somebody likes this idea. And if you have further questions or comments, feel free to post…

cheers! yours mip…
